Jonathan’s 1st Birthday Celebration

A good job from Jericca - Pretty Frosting.

Jonathan boy in his birthday pyjamma and shoe.

Just a simple celebration at home with my sis and her kids. Besides the cake, we had KFC for supper.

All his! Nobody can touch the cake or spoon. Big boy already...

Presents time!

Yeah, all for me! And a special present, "First 100 Words" book from my friend, Philip.

It is not a grand one as many would have thought it would be for a child’s first birthday. We are so tempted to have one for Jonathan boy after seeing many parents out there were talking about and making plans for their child’s first birthday party. We think he’s too young to understand all the fun, perhaps we’ll consider a party for him next year when he knows better what birthday is all about. So long there is a cake with candle and Daddy, Mommy singing birthday song, Jonathan definitely a happy kid.

  1. It’s simple & nice birthday celebration! Happy 1st Birthday Jonathan!

It’s true that birthday party is too young for them to understand. I’ve not thought of how to celebrate Ryan’s birthday yet… one more month to go. 🙂

By the way, what happened to Jonathan’s face?

  2. WAH….clever boy know how to eat with his spoon already!!!

Better to have a small celebration if no one ‘insists’ on a big one! hahaha…

Jonathan looks so happy! Mummy too!

  4. Ryan mami – Oh, don’t you know he is having chicken pox? See this post https://bondedtogether.net/journal/2008/10/06/dotty-chickenpox/

Ann – Haha…know what you mean by “pressure”. He is not the only grandchild so no pressure on me. 🙂

Anggie – Totally agree with you. Hey, start to learn making the frosty icing ler… still in time for Jeremy’s 2nd birthday.

Littlelamb – 😛 Jericca is definitely not my sister. I just bumped into her website full of cakes. Hijackqueen (my sis)…haven’t see her bake any cakes except cookies.

Lil Prince’s Mum – Thanks for the award.

  8. Joanne – He actually finished the whole piece and wanted more. Of course…the cake is sweet.

June – I got the cake at RM80. Reasonable price and I’m satisfied with it.

He’s recovering well. Just hoping the scar will not be permanent. Am applying vit E for him. Thanks for your concern.
