New Found Place

Our neighbouring friends have been talking about this place and the activity they enjoyed doing there with their friends and especially kids.  This particular activity is not what I fancy nor ever did when I was a kid unlike Darling who is knows well how it works.  So off we go one particular weekend to explore and find out if Jonathan boy will enjoy it too.

So this was where headed to…

This is located at Bandar Bukit Tinggi II in Klang.  It’s a very big field beside the road in a housing area. I just couldn’t believe the crowd and the many kites that are flying high up in the clear blue sky. Most important is that the weather is great…windy!  The wind blows away the heat as well.

And when I see the size of the field, I was so relieved. So relieved that Jonathan can run around freely and safely while I watch him from a distance and without me having to marathon after him. You sure know what I mean. This is unlike at the playground where I have to carry him up the slide and running after him when he goes near the swing.

Here’s Jonathan boy, all geared up with his Spiderman kite.

This is not all you can do there. We brought along Jonathan’s little bike. The field is a bit uneven so it was kind of hard for him to maneuver his bike. Nevertheless, he enjoyed it.

Kite sellers are making great money here.  The kites priced from RM19. I tell you, kites nowadays are so fancy. You have mermaid, Ben10, Batman, Spiderman, Mickey Mouse flying in the sky!  I won’t be surprise to hear this…”Mommy, mermaid can fly?” 😛

Personally, I love this Batman kite. It looks so real when it is up in the sky. At least Batman does fly, right? They have it in fluorescent orange but it looks quite fake to me.

This is definitely a nice place for a weekend activity.  You sure agree with me if you see Jonathan when he was all out.  The restless him just stopped and sat down on the grass. But that never stop him from enjoying this great outing. We caught him here plucking the weeds.

We simply love this place.  It’s windy and the field is huge and clean.  We will surely be back soon ‘coz Darling just bought a dozen of smaller kites and more strings.  I hope the kites can fly… 😛  So, anyone keen to join us?

Blog Break II

I’m declaring a Blog Break II, after the previous blog break

Still busy with work and so had no inspiration to write.  My eyes are tired staring at the PC at work. My bum bum sore for sitting too long at my desk working on the PC.

Many things that I would like to share and jot down on my Family Journal but my mind is not working and time do not permit.  Regardless how much workload I have in the office, I am not staying up late or bringing home my work (unless really necessary). That’s my philosophy, to spend quality family time with Darling and Jonathan boy.  But I still have time for my shopping therapy. 😉

Meanwhile, enjoy these photos taken by Aunty-Next-Door.

Imitating the Adult

As kids grow, their level of curiosity increases and they love to imitate the adult’s action.

That was our MP3 player. He has been watching us pluging in the earphone. He attempted to play with it and finally got hold of it one fine day. And so this is what I found him doing. He knows which end and which hold to plug the earphone in.

He knows the earphone should be inserted to the ear.

And when you sounded him, there he lies on the floor with the why-cannot and i-am-angry look. Don’t blame me. I never did this in front of him.

During meal time, we will place some dishes on his plate. Nowadays, he tries to scoop from the dish plate himself. Obviously it is too far for him to reach and sometimes he scooped spicy dish.

So, parents out there, we better be good boys and girls if we want our little ones to be good as well. 😛

A Long Walk

So what did we do during the last Labour’s Worker’s Day holiday?  We wanted to bring Jonathan boy to a place where he can run around and get wild without us tailing behind him which also means that we can keep and eye on him while we sit back and enjoy the sunny day. 😛

And so we ended up at Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya (previously known as Bukit Cheraka) and Wet World Shah Alam.  Darling wants to see how much Bukit Cahaya has changed after 10 years and I want to bring Jonathan for a bicycle ride. And we thought a dip in the water will be satisfying after being under the hot sun and so we decided to go to the Wet World Shah Alam.

Here are some photos to share and more photos were posted in Facebook.

That’s baby cocoa. So many ripe ones not being harvested and got eaten by squirrels. I am so tempted to pluck the ripe ones to eat.  Those were the days when I helped my parents in the orchard planted with cocoa and banana trees.

We were proud of Jonathan as he is full of energy. He walked with us without whining much. He did asked us to carry once a while but we diverted his attention. Whenever he was tired, he stopped and squat/sit on the ground.

Both Darling and I will continue to walk, pretending not noticing him, but he didn’t fall into our tricks.  He knows Daddy and Mommy won’t leave him there. And so we encouraged him to stand and continue walking.

At certain juncture, we will carry him as he deserved to be carried after a long walk by himself.

Half way the walk, he was really restless and he slept in Daddy’s arm. He missed the animal farm and bicycle ride so that means, we are going to be back there again!

With body full of sweat, we headed to Wet World Shah Alam for a dip. More of for Jonathan to enjoy the waters. No pic as I don’t have a water proof camera. Entrance per adult is RM10 and children is RM7  (free for those below certain height). We find it reasonable if you are looking for a water place for the kids and not expensive. But let me warn you that if you are looking for extreme activities like what you have in Sunway Lagoon, this is not the place for you.  They do have but not only a few. And also the children slides are not well maintained. We did not complain about it because all we want is just a water place for Jonathan to play by himself and of course, not expensive.

We had a fruitful weekend and how I wish for more!
